It was standing room only as the long awaited plans for the redevelopment and revitalization of Civic Center Park was unveiled to the public Wednesday August 30, 2006 at a town hall meeting at the Colorado Convention Center. Organizers of the event had to open an adjacent hall next to the original one to handle the number of people that showed up to see the plans. Architect Daniel Libeskind, the mastermind of the plan, was on hand to answer questions along with other city officials. The public was allowed to ask questions in the start of a long process of deciding on final plans for the park. (MARC PISCOTTY/ROCKY MOUNTAIN NEWS) CQ
