A Colorado Department of Transportation worker was killed Wednesday morning when a tractor-trailer plowed into a road surfacing crew on Interstate 25. Charles “Chuck” Mather, 34, of Beulah was pronounced dead at St. Mary Corwin hospital in Pueblo Wednesday. He had been working for CDOT since June 2005. His wife, Leena, 39, was expecting their first child in November. This is from his father, CDOT says the baby’s due in October Four other people, including another CDOT worker, were also injured in the accident, which closed northbound I-25 at Walsenburg for much of the day.
