Rita Roberts, (R.E.F.R.A.C.T.T.), Project Scientist, conducts a media tour of the newest moisture detecting technology occuring within the portable satellite dish at the Marshal Field Site location within the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR), 2062 S. 66th St., Boulder County, Colo. The new research is expected to improve forecasting of summer thunderstorms through testing an innovative technique using radar to pinpoint water vapor in the lower atmosphere. (STEVEN R.
