Winter Park police are looking for a man who reportedly picked up a woman along U.S. 40, held her for more than 12 hours and sexually assaulted her twice before dropping her off near Morrison Tuesday. Chief Glen Trainor said the woman accepted a ride from the man who agreed to take her to a friend’s condominium. Once in the vehicle, he drove to an unknown location and sexually assaulted her, then drove to the Denver area where he assaulted her again, then dropped her off near the C-470 and Morrison Road interchange. She called her boyfriend from a service station in Morrison and police took her to Denver for medical treatment. She described the suspect as a white male who was very tan, totally bald, in his late 40s or early 50s. He was 5-feet-11 to 6-feet tall, thin build, wearing a black shirt, tan pants and sandals. The vehicle was a gray, 1980s model GMC cargo van with no rear license plate and a “Rocky Mountain Arsenal” sticker on the windshield. Anyone with information is asked to call Fraser Winter Park Police Department at 970-722-7770 or 970-725-3549.
