The Colorado and Southern Railroad depot in Ludlow, Las Animas County, Colorado, is a one-story frame building with a hipped gable roof and chimneys. A semaphore signal with a United States flag is by the entry, where baggage carts, hand trucks, and lumber are arranged. Men sit on the dock, and soldiers with rifles and ammunition belts approach railroad tracks in the foreground. A horse and buggy and freight cars with a wheel closure are to the sides; other frame buildings are in the background. A sign reads: "Ludlow."
