Large lion statues stand on either side of the stone steps leading to the front entrance of the Governor Flower Library in Watertown, New York, named for Roswell Pettybone Flower, governor of New York from 1892-94. Flower died in 1899, and the memorial library was built in 1903. Large columns stand in pairs along the front entrance near a row of topiaries. Scalloped curtains hang in the large, arched windows.
