View of the Fitzsimons General Hospital's outdoor kitchen set up beside the Denver and Rio Grande Western and the Atichson, Topeka and Santa Fe railroad tracks below the rhyolite lava formation of Castle Rock, Colorado, to feed flood relief volunteers. Men in army uniforms stand around folding tables with cardboard boxes on top; young men wearing bluejeans, demin jackets, and sweaters sit on ground and eat holding their plates. Items around "kitchen" include: trash cans with smokestacks, basketball hoop, bicycle rack, milk crates, and gas cans with sign: "Gasoline, No Smoking With In ? Feet" and a United States Army truck. Automobiles drive along highway above railroad tracks, power poles, and a residence are at base of Castle Rock. Graffiti shows on rock formation: "64" "60" "61."
