PRESIDING: Peg Hart, President

elects David Fletcher, Michael Gilbert.
MINUTES: The minutes of the November meeting were read and approved.
FINANCIAL Bob Bowlby reported that there are 16 new memberships since the Nov. 30th
Stft&iARYg' meeting for a total of $52.00. The balance is now £245.88. A bill presented
by the publicity chairman for $40.96 was approved for payment.
BY - lATOSt Peg Hart reported that the following people have agreed to serve on the by—
\ laws revision committee: kike Henry, Chairman; Field Benton, Toby Bowlby,
Ginny Rockwell, Kay Schomp; Peg Hart and Dave Fletcher, ex-officio.
NOMINATING Ed Haynes reported that the unanimous recommendation of the nominating
CO^M.: committee to fill the two board vacancies is as follows:
David Fletcher — Vice president and board member
Michael Gilbert - Board member,
both to serve until the annual meeting in April, 1973. These members were
elected unanimously.
SPECIAL Peg Hart introduced Bob Koch, District 10 co^cilman, who discussed responsive
KEPORTs local government with special attention to the needs of the Capitol Hill
district. Forthcoming projects include:
1. new mini-park—location still in question.
* 2. creation of a youth services bureau#
3. investigation of possibilities for an area Recreation Center.
Hr. Koch gave some results of a city-wide citizen survey of needs. Some
general questions and answers followed, including a discussion of the
mechanics of zoning variances.
HOUSING: Dave Fletcher requested board approval to pursue the possibilities of the
creation of a Housing Court. It was moved that CHUN support the preliminary
work toward a Housing Court for the City and County of Denver. After discussion, the motion was passed.
ZONING: Jim James announced an upcoming variance request for a new structure at. 11th
and Race. CHUN will oppose this variance.
He also expressed a future zoning concern - ie. the need to provide area
zoning for Capitol Hill to preserve its present character. Mr. Koch
