HERE'S HOW
This is the first issue of a publication devoted strictly to our
neighborhood and dedicated to
service to the neighborhood. You
and everyone living in the shaded
area of the map to the right will
receive one through the mail
every two weeks.
The purpose of it is to get you
better acquainted with those nice
neighbors of yours, your neighborhood merchants and the many advantages of trading with them.
The news we will bring you will
be news of you and your neighbors,
things of interest going on within
a few blocks of your own home.
So far we have not been able
to decide on a name so we are
asking you, our neighbors to help
us decide on a name.
Now to be practical, the name
should be short, not over two or
three words. Words which will describe the purpose for its publication, or the service we hope to render. One of the words could indicate the area it will cover. You
may get ideas from the names of
similar publications you may happen to know. Of course we can not
use any name that is now being
used here in Denver or any name
that is copyrighted or part of a
registered trade mark.
The rules are very few. Anyone
receiving a copy of this publication is eligible to enter. You may
send in as many entries as you
wish. In case of duplicate entries
the one bearing the earliest post
mark will win. Just write your
suggestion on a post card or letter together with your name, address and phone number and mail
to The Monarch Press, 920 East
17th Avenue, Denver 18, Colorado.
All entries will become the property of the Monarch Press. We reserve the right to use the name as
you suggest it or to change it or
combine it with ideas of others or
our own. BUT REGARDLESS
SOMEONE NOT CONNECTED
WITH THE MONARCH PRESS

diowdi^ Vbriqhbtfi,
I am Les Baile, I and my wife
Helen are your neighborhood
printers. Many is the time we
have thanked our lucky star that,
when we decided two years ago
last November to start a job printing shop that it was in this neighborhood. When I started out in the
neighborhood calling on the business men in regards to their printing needs, I met the finest bunch
of fellows that it has ever been
my good fortune to meet. These
men are your neighborhood merchants. I wonder how many of
them you know? They provide the
neighborhood with a wide variety
of goods and services that make it
unnecessary to go down town.
Why go down town when you can
shop just down the street or
around the corner?
If you have not called on them,
you are missing a wonderful
friendship as well as the many
services they have to offer. The
next time you go shopping, drop
around the corner and get acquainted with one of your neighborhood merchants. You will find
that many of their regular prices
are the same or lower than the so-
called bargain prices advertised
down town.
