No. 475 Circle Drive
Care Mrs. Verner Reed
Denver, Colorado.
My dear Peg^y:
Just received the catalogue of
the Romanoff belongings- and it is most inter
esting-also the clippings- By the way- the
clipping about Einstein ?-from what paper and
what date did you clip it- (you wrote on the
margin about the Jesuits teaching this cosmi
cosmic religion also ?- I am anxious to get a
copy' of that same article about Einstein ????
please try to remember the paper ana the aate
Poor Mrs. Stokes- I know those lovely portrai
she was a beauty-Rita Lydig - and I love the
,ne by Zuloaga -in her riding habit- Things inns
must be selling very reasonably at the auctio
amotions in Hew York- I wish I could be there
just to look on- I enjoy those things so much
I hope you indulged in some of the belongings
of the Czar- wish there had been some jewelry-
Every one out here is crying poor owing to the
depression- of course a great many have lost
fortunes through sugar and oil- and the stock
market seems to lie dormant- possibly it will
come back soon- I was recently invited to see
the film- Trader Korn- it is super- thrilling
have you seen it- do- if you enjoy animals-
and this picture was made in Africa- with a
love story incorporated in it- I had to look
away from the screen occasionally- it was so
realistic- especially the fight of the lions-
six liona fighting over a dead jackal billed
by one of them- terrible! Have you heard the
Russian opera-rT1Vozzek" over the radio- I do
get so much pleasure out of the radio- it is the
great wonder of the age- By the way- Horace
Bennett is out of the Brown- Chas, Boettcher
bought him out- in fact -he has the Paramount
Theatre as his share 1 believe (the Paramount
is the latest theatre built in Denver
- Bennett
is not popular in the least - I fear the
legislature is white washing Judge Samuel
Johnson who participated in the stealing of
vSi' husband,' s,property-Think of this-I,have
been tola thatxGov. Adams has Been sued for
breach of promise by £X& some employee at the
