Acquired in 1911 by condemnation for $70,000.00 and
apparently developed shortly thereafter featuring a
formal design on the axis of Cheesman Memorial
Fully developed as a small park, connecting Cheesman
Park and 7th Avenue Parkway.
The condemnation decree dated October 2, 1911 for East Denver
Parks and Parkways specified that the use should be for public
parks and parkways. (VB)
Purchased in April, 1912 frcm Berger Realty Co. W.D. recorded in
Book 2290 at page 16, cost $70,000.00
