"MAMMOTH* Party Planned Fbr All!
A supercalifragilistic, phantasmagoric, foot-stomping, plain
old good, down home Christmas
party awaits all CHUN members,
their friends and families December 12 at the recently reopened MAMMOTH GARDENS, Clarkson
at Colfax.
The evening's entertainment will
feature nostalgic rock and roll
by THE SINCLAIRS, Capitol Hill's
own rock group just on the verge
of breaking through to stardom.
The evening will begin with a
family party at 7:30, featuring
Santa, cookies and punch. Bring
the kids! Be a kid!
THE SINCLAIRS will take over at
9:00 and bash until 1:30 with
their own special brand of music and a cash bar to bring forth
Christmas spirits.
A special event of the evening
will be the presentation of
CHUN Good Neighbor Awards to
honor those folks who have made
special contributions to CHUN
and Capitol Hill throughout
the year.
We can't tell you the identity
of these Good Samaritans yet,
so you'll have to come to the
party to find out.
The admission to the party is
something we can all afford.
IT'S (GASP!) FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Free, that is to CHUN members.
For those other folks who have
not been so perspicacious as
to join CHUN, it will cost them
a fin (five bucks to the uninitiated) to get past Marcia
standing guard at the door.
But, in the spirit of the Yule-
tide, we have a deal even for
nonmembers. You can joiji CHUN
at the door at the regular rate
and get in free!
And for kids, whether members
or not, admission is always
free.
You'll hate yourself if you miss
it, so don't! Attendance will
be taken, and you will be chastised severely if we notice that
you're not there.
Such a deal! So much fun! This
is the social event of the year
in Capitol Hill (with the possible exception of a few bashes
thrown at the residence of Capitol Hill socialites MH and BJ).
And, by the way, MERRY CHRISTMAS,
HAPPY HANNUKAH, AND HAPPY NEW
