The Urban Dweller is a monthly publication of Capitol Hill United Neighborhoods (CHUN), 1290 Williams; 388-2716. THE URBAN DWELLED "-* w It'sExzachly Right! Zip OverTo Zach's CHUN invites you and your friends, relatives, and neighbors to join us at a party to raise funds for CHUN on Sunday, April 5, at Zach's Restaurant, 1480 Humboldt, between 11:30 AM and 3:00 PM. Your $4.00 donation at the door will give you a chance to meet new friends, renew old friendships, enjoy a variety of entertainment, and perhaps win a gift. By attending, you will be giving CHUN financial support to continue its work in preserving and promoting the Capitol Hill neighborhoods. Some recent CHUN efforts include fighting height variances, closing down problem bars in the 13th & Pearl area, working with the chronic mentally ill, curtailing new liquor licenses, assisting small business economic development, and trying to persuade RTD and other public agencies to be more accountable to the public. CHUN is also the sponsor of the annual People's Fair, a truly great Capitol Hill event. Several local entertainers have agreed to donate their time and talents to help CHUN raise funds and to make the afternoon particularly enjoyable. We encourage you to stop by and enjoy Willie Jaeger's contemporary music played on the hammer and mountain dulcimers, the original classical and jazz music of "Mendal," and the zany impro- visational comedy of "Chicken Lips." Also adding to the party's fun will be an ongoing raffle for gifts donated by Capitol Hill businesses. Some of the prizes will include plants, gourmet food items, records and tapes, and gift certificates for meals and services. All of the proceeds from the raffle will go to CHUN and all of the good times will go to you. Please make a note on your calendar now to join us at Zctch's on Sunday afternoon, April 5. We are looking forward to celebrating spring., new friends, and a great neighborhood— and we want to celebrate with you. • If you have any questions about the party, please call Nancy Hauswald at 861-3072 (home) or 623-6600 (work) or the CHUN office (388-2716) SEE YOU ON APRIL 5!
