The Annual Membership Meeting of
Capitol Hill United Neighborhoods, Inc.,
scheduled for April 22nd, will feature
a film about urban problems and two
well-known local speakers, Tom Morris
and Phillip Milstein. The meeting will
be held at Our Savior's Lutheran Church,
East 9th Avenue and Emerson Streets,
at 7:30 p.m.
Morris is an architect, as well as a
columnist for both the Trend section
of the Rocky Mountain News and for
Straight Creek Journal. His columns
have often spurred controversy because
of the hard line Morris takes against
what he refers to as the "booster
mentality." Milstein is a member and
past chairperson of the Denver Planning
Board, and serves as Executive Director
of Downtown Denver., Inc. He is also
active on the board of the Auraria
Higher Education Center.
The film will present an overview of
urban problems. Morris and Milstein
will each respond briefly to the film,
directing their attention to the
question, "Where is Denver Going?"
and then take questions from the
audience.
In addition to the film and speakers,
the meeting will also feature the
election of the 1976-77 CHUN Board of
Directors. A nominating committee has
recommended a slate of about thirty-five
persons for the Board.
For further information about the
meeting or about CHUN, contact Bernie
Jones, president, at 832-3526.
