april 1974 A PUBLICATION BY CAPITOL HILL UNITED NEIGHBORHOODS INC. CAPITOLI HILL UNITED NEIGHBORHOODS How much do you know about Denver's rich architectural history??? CHUM is offering a perfect chance for you to become better informed. Capitol Hill United Neighborhoods, Inc., will hold its annual meeting on Wednesday, April 2k9 197^, at Dagwell Hall of St. John's Cathedral (13th_and Clarkson) at 7«30 P«m. After a short business meeting, Bill & Ida Fick will make a presentation entitled "Early Denver - as seen through architecture". Bill Fick is a native of Denver who has been photographing since 1935* He is a past president of the William H. Jackson Camera Club. This pictorial history of the Queen City of the Plains is complete with a musical background that recalls a past era of buildings, mansions, and homes, many of which are now gone. Mr. and Mrs. Fick document the intricacy of architectural form found in this area. Their presentation has been given at the Denver Public Library, The State Historical Society, and The Westerners. ANNUAL MEETING APRIL At the business meeting we will also be electing a new Board of Directors. Nominees are: We are very happy to have this special presentation for our annual meeting and the CHUN treasury will pay the balance that we do not raise in donations at the meeting. Also - the Annual Meeting will be the first opportunity you'll have to obtain your very own CHUN button— the \ ireat \ neighborhood^ CAPITOL \ % HILL (wouldn't you love to see about 25 of those on people at the next city council meeting???)
