Trie meeting was called to order by President Dan Paulien at 7:40 p.m.
Board members present were Kathy Allen, Gordon Appell, Brian Barhnngh,
Kirkland, Norma Oldham, Martin Peto, Joyce Thorn, Charles Trainor.
Cthers in attendance were Yosta Wyngaard, Kenneth & Marie Campbell, Jo
Campbell, Thomas Clarke, Bonnie Clarke, Dave Becker, John Harris, Ron
Boronski, Ed Til ton, Hancv Rettie:, Jack Pahnestock, Yolande Chin, Jock
McNulty.
Hhe minutes of May 2£ were appro--, ed as mailed.
Ed lilton, VISTA worker with the Social Services, Transportation, and
Housing Committees oi CHUN, gave a resume of his year's work. He
recommended that CHUN again apply for a VISTA worker but with a clear
job description. The Beard thanked Ed for a job well done in reaching
cut to the CHUN community and affecting changes necessary.
House "our. Sharon Hill said the fell owing houses will be on the scheduled
rlouse Tour for CHUN: 1050 Lagan, H35 Pennsylvania, 945 Pennsylvania,
1237 Pearl, 12G0 Pennsylvania. Cthers are still being considered. She
announced committee chairmen for the Tour. The next committee meeting
will be Monday, July 1 at 7:30 p.m. at 1232 Race'. Paul Mahoney moved
the following House lour budget be accepted with the cost for liability
insurance to be negotiated:

l.cOLO'cl Neighbors Conference. Delegate Ken Freed reported on the
national convention held in Denver. Total yearly revenues of National
neighbors, comprised of 120 multi-ethnic, multi-racial member groups,
are ever $140,000. Sam Brown, Keynoter, commented that Native Americans
appear to be at the bottom of America's social totem pole; that neighbors and neighborhoods have to solve their own problems; that America's
number one problem is national bigotry. uart Hart stressed the need for
neighborhoods to be involved in energy problems, insurance red lining,
the elderly. At the conference a big effort was made to involve more
Hispanics, although not very successfully. The topic of displacement
showed the most concern. The resolutions adopted by the conference
were circulated. Ken mentioned CHUN's need to appeal tc a larger racial
ana diverse membership.
